Completely-In-The-Canal Function and Appearance

The completely-in-the-canal (CIC) style digital hearing aid is provided with a custom fit inside the ear canal. It is discreetly positioned due to its very small size. Individuals with good low-frequency hearing are not usually advised to use this hearing aid since the occlusion effect is much more detectable. It also may not be ideal if you have a narrow ear canal.

The CIC hearing aid is ideal for first-time hearing aid users and provides a comfortable custom fit. The user inserts the hearing aid very deeply into the ear, where it is completely hidden from view in the ears of most users. Others may never notice you are wearing this hearing aid unless they look directly into your ear canal.

It is the ideal hearing aid for individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss. It functions automatically without the need for a controller. Due to its discreet location in the ear canal, the CIC does not generally interfere with a telephone receiver, and its position allows the outer ear to block wind noise — enhancing sound directionality naturally.

Key Features of the CIC Style

Second Smallest Style

The CIC is our second smallest custom hearing aid style, sitting deeply inside the ear canal where it is virtually invisible to others in most everyday situations.

Discreetly Positioned

Completely hidden from view in most users' ears. Others may never notice you are wearing this hearing aid unless they look directly into your ear canal.

Feedback Elimination

The CIC offers significant reduction of whistling and buzzing through advanced feedback elimination technology, keeping sound clean and comfortable all day.

Natural Wind Block

The ear's natural shape is able to do its job without obstruction — guiding sound waves to the device and blocking wind noise, enhancing both directionality and comfort outdoors.
